Our Pugs

Our Pugs are out of champion bloodlines such as Gores, Sheffieds, Tickle Me Elmo, Tupelo, and Cottonview’s.

Here are some other pugs we share our home with:
Our Boys –

  • Rambo Nazarene Warrior “Rambo” – named after Bochephoe, Hank Williams’ son’s nickname. Rambo is the daddy to our pugs, he is a nice male pug, and he is akc reg. He has only a couple of champs in his pedigree. He was born March 24, 2003. We got him after we lost Henry and Bo.

Our Girls –

  • Carol’s Baby China Doll “China” – China has AKC champion bloodlines.
  • Hailey LeeAnn – Hailey is my dearest friend and the smartest pug I have ever seen. She is truly like a child, and she knows when I pack, we are going on a long trip. She used to ride from Michigan to Florida all the time, now she goes from Tennessee to Florida. She loves to travel. She doesn’t need a leash. She goes out side with anyone, does her business and comes back in. She never leaves the yard. She was also the BEST mother pug I have ever saw. She would come and get me to check on puppies, and wake me up when she was going to have them. She has her own rocking chair and she doesn’t share it with the other dogs!
Hailey is retired and just kicking back and enjoying life. But when we get new pug puppies she is right there. She gives comfort to the other mother, and licks and helps clean up their puppies. she loves it, and if I have to bottle feed a puppy, no matter what kind, she will help me take care of it. She’ll lay with it keep it warm, and cleans it to help it go to bathroom. What a dog!
Hailey was born in Michigan and she is 11 yrs old.
  • Jasmine’s Black Pearl – she is AKC and CKC registered, born March 7, 2005. She comes from a long line of champions, 88 in her pedigree. She had her first litter on July 24th, 2007. She had 5 puppies, 2 females and 3 males. One female died, she was fat as mud, and born breech and she was in birth canal to long and she drowned.
  • Jazzy Kiara Jade AKA “Jada” – She is AKC & CKC reg and comes from Friendship, TN. She has lots of champions in her pedigree also. She is an excellent mother. She is short, cobby, and lots of wrinkles, nice head, and nose roll. She is fawn with a black mask.
  • Satin Pearl Nelson – registered with the CKC. We bought her only because of where I went to buy a pug. I saw all the dog runs and the mud hole where she was laying. There were lots of fleas crawling all over the puppies. I just held her and could not leave her. She is spayed now, and living the good life. She did have one litter, they were nice pups. But Satin is tall, and no wrinkles. Not what I think a pug should be, so we fixed her. She was born July 18, 2002.
  • Satin Garnet Nelson – CKC registered, born July 18, 2004. Garnet was bought for my niece, and she has had one really nice litter of pugs. We’ve skipped her, and will breed her next. My niece went into the Air Force and we are keeping Garnet for her.

  • How I Got My First Pug

HeneryI was looking for a flat face, short, cobby little dog and when I saw a pug, I just knew that was the puppy for my nieces and nephew. I looked, and looked, and we were living in Michigan 11 years ago, and I looked in Florida but all were sold. So my husband thought I wanted the dog, and he and my son started looking for almost a year to get me a pug. They went to a Kentucky Coon Dog Show and could not find one either. They looked in the paper and could not find one either. No luck yet, they looked in upper peninsular Michigan when my husband had a job up there and no luck.

Henery & DadWell it was Christmas Eve night and my husband stopped at his favorite store to either gas up or by beer. This was at a store or convenience store in Stockbridge, MI right down road from our house. He was always a happy camper, and he was down in the dumps and a lady asked, “What is the matter? It is Christmas Eve and you look so sad, and depressed.” He told her that it was Christmas Eve and could not find his wife what she had been wanting for over a year. And she said, “What is that?” Joey said, “A pug.” She told him, well I’ve got one pug male left, he is black, and he told her that she raised them right under our nose, we could not believe it! He bought him and brought him home that night, I said, “Wow Derek is going to be so happy.” My husband said, “What do you mean Derek is going to be happy?” I said, “I wanted to get him a pug for Christmas or his birthday.”

So, that is how I got the first dog I’ve ever owned. My husband named him Henery. Everyone loved him. I took him everywhere, even to bank, and he would donate money and he had cards and stuff with his name all over town. Everyone knew Henery, well I was a dental ass’t. My husband said, because Henery had only one testicle he could not make puppies. Don’t ever believe that. My first pugs came and then of course Derek then got his puppy pug, named Otis.
