Our Pugs

How I got my first pug Henery Brown

Henery I was looking for a flat face, short, cobby little dog and when I saw a pug, I just knew that was the puppy for my nieces and nephew. I looked, and looked, and we were living in Michigan 11 years ago, and I looked in Florida but all were sold. So my husband thought I wanted the dog, and he and my son started looking for almost a year to get me a pug. They went to a Kentucky Coon Dog Show and could not find one either. They looked in the paper and could not find one either. No luck yet, they looked in upper peninsular Michigan when my husband had a job up there and no luck.

Henery Well it was Christmas Eve night and my husband stopped at his favorite store to either gas up or by beer. This was at a store or convenience store in Stockbridge, MI right down road from our house. He was always a happy camper, and he was down in the dumps and a lady asked, "What is the matter? It is Christmas Eve and you look so sad, and depressed." He told her that it was Christmas Eve and could not find his wife what she had been wanting for over a year. And she said, "What is that?" Joey said, "A pug." She told him, well I've got one pug male left, he is black, and he told her that she raised them right under our nose, we could not believe it! He bought him and brought him home that night, I said, "Wow Derek is going to be so happy." My husband said, "What do you mean Derek is going to be happy?" I said, "I wanted to get him a pug for Christmas or his birthday."

So, that is how I got the first dog I’ve ever owned. My husband named him Henery. Everyone loved him. I took him everywhere, even to bank, and he would donate money and he had cards and stuff with his name all over town. Everyone knew Henery, well I was a dental ass't. My husband said, because Henery had only one testicle he could not make puppies. Don't ever believe that. My first pugs came and then of course Derek then got his puppy pug, named Otis.

Our Pugs are out of champion bloodlines such as Gores, Sheffieds, Tickle Me Elmo, Tupelo, and Cottonview's.
